The Benchmade 42. Three words come to mind; sturdy, light, and smooth. The 42 is my first and only balisong, and I couldn't have chosen a better one. Being a novice flipper, I have dropped my balisong countless number of times. The knife has gotten quite a few dings and scratches, but it still keeps flipping. Speaking of flipping, the 42 is very smooth and fast. It allows you to pull off moves with ease.

I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the world of the balisong. I believe that the 42 is the knife with which all other
production balisongs should be judged.
